Go ahead and real-people ship this time, because yup, they're together! From what I read, he had known her for years and recommended her for the role, he had been doing the music for it but took over the role too when Cillian Murphy dropped out. They weren't a couple while filming, but in interviews the director talked about how there was something there between them so he used it! They didn't get together until after, while traveling around doing promotion. Last I heard they were living together in Ireland. Heh, having them be together in real life somewhat makes up for the ending of the movie where they don't get together. I thought the first time I watched it that maaaaaaaaaybe they did, since they show a bus pulling to the curb outside her apt at the end, but both actors have said in interviews they didn't get together so I'll go with that. *sigh*

And I love too that they're "real" musicians! I'm so glad I got to see them perform live, they were amazing! And yes, he performs with that old beat up guitar!
