connielane at 06:38pm on 07/02/2008Is it weird that the first thing I thought - after "YAY, I get to see my Oscars!" (yes, they are MY Oscars :P) - was "YAY! Now Steve Kloves can start writing the Deathly Hallows movie!"?
Third thought - YAY, I can change my default icon now!
ETA: Fourth thought - YAY, SNL will be back soon! I've missed my Andy Samberg, Kristen Wiig, and Seth Meyers, and all the others. And it's just not RIGHT to be having all this election stuff happening with no one on SNL to do caricatured impersonations of the candidates!
ETA Again: Because apparently the deal is not yet sealed, and people are freaking out, rightly so, over premature pronouncements pressuring writers into an unsatisfactory deal. I get that. What I hate is all these people who are all "You idiots need to shut your gobs about something you know nothing about, just because you want your precious Oscars." Newsflash--the Oscars aren't just ... you know, this should really be its own post.
