* Have just finished The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Douglas Adams is a genius. I seem to have a certain kinship with the robot, Marvin. *points to icon* I hope I can see the BBC version and listen to the radio version before the movie comes out in May.
* Next on my to-read list: Death On the Nile!
* Am now proud owner of shiny new iPod (gotten by honest means, naturally). I took it for a spin this afternoon, and I *lovesssss* it. Question, though - once I transfer songs to the iPod, can I delete them from my computer?
* I realize that some debaters have gone too far on occasion, but ship debates (and, indeed, debates in general) are not for thin-skinned people. If you can't handle the snark ... what are you doing there?!
* By the way, I am determined not to post on the site that incited the boycott, but I think at least one fact bandied about there needs some clarification. Yes, Sugar Quill closed just before OotP was released and it stayed closed for a few days afterward. However, the closure had been planned long before the book was released. In fact, many fansites (including The Leaky Cauldron) were closed until at least the Tuesday after the release - to give people time to read and absorb the new canon. Here is the post (dated 10 days before the release of OotP) where the SQ closure is announced. It had nothing to do with anyone's ship expectations. It was a plan to deal with the influx of all the new information. I expect there to be similar thread closings in July for HBP.
