OMG! West Wing was awesome! I love John Goodman, but I don't like the acting pres. He's just too . . . Republican. :p But I loved Walken's line about "in case you hadn't noticed, I'm a few prime rib dinners away from sudden cardiac arrest." I also loved CJ giving Danny the heads up about the Sharif story and telling him to post it early. The candlelight vigil scene at the end reminded me of the end of Pay It Forward, another movie I absolutely love.
I'm really hoping that the first sentence of book 6 is a lengthy explanation of the whole perfume thing. I am so tired of arguing over and over that "really unusual" is no more a putdown that "not ugly" is a compliment. What ever happened to "it's the thought that counts"? I guess when it's Ron, the thought isn't good enough. It seems perfectly obvious to me that Ron and Hermione are really just avoiding awkwardness and blushes by acknowledging the perfume as quickly and dispassionately as possible. But I guess I understand if people need to see it another way.
Friends premieres tonight, so I guess I'll have to watch it even though Joey/Rachel makes me ill. But I would like to see my old high school marching band rehearse tonight before they go off to their first contest (or rather 3) this Saturday. Go, McGavock!
