Turtle Power and Twilight Riffing

* I was checking the Empire State Building website for their lighting schedule so that I'd be all knowledgeable when my folks get here - it's common for the lights at the top to be a certain color in honor of something, usually not that exciting. Sadly, there will be no special colored lights - just the regular white - while they're here. However, tonight the lights will be green in honor of ... wait for it ... the 25th anniversary of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I kid you not..

(Of course, they were green last night as well, for the slightly more meaningful occasion of Earth Day. But I think I shall have to travel downtown and giggle at the greenness tonight.)


* In other news, I'm bound and determined - having missed the last one due to work - to attend the next Rifftrax/MST3K meetup in Brooklyn. THEY'RE WATCHING THE TWILIGHT RIFFING! LIKE OMG!!!
