Looks like I should see Slumdog Millionaire, huh? (And why did I write "Slughog" the first time?)

I really, really don't get the "supporting" vs. non-supporting thing. Did Heath Ledger really have less screen time than Christian Bale? Is there any official rule for what constitutes a "supporting" role, or is it just "the Academy (or Broadcast Film Critics Association, or whoever) know it when they see it"?

I mean, I am glad that, say, Heath can be honored for his role even if the performance is eclipsed by Sean Penn's. I'm just trying to understand the categories.

I'm working on an answer to the supporting/lead thing, but it's going to be another post, because it's something I find interesting (in fact, I'm considering a series on "Oscar politics").

Yes, I think you'd love "Slughog." :P

Being a fan of A. R. Rahman since the early 90's, I'm just glad that the rest of the world is getting hear and acknowledge his genus skills :D

I first became aware of him with 2002's Lagaan, and I've listened to that soundtrack more times than I can count. I'm glad he's getting that long-deserved recognition, too.

This is the first song that he composed for an Indian (Tamil) movie in 1992! I've been ♥ ever since.
