connielane at 04:57pm on 08/12/2008If any of you are new (or even not so new) to my flist and wonder what the heck I blather on about in late November and early December, here is the new (and first ever, strangely) official website for Butt-Numb-A-Thon. There's a summary of what the event is all about, a list of important-to-know (for attendees, anyway) facts, artwork of this year's posters and t-shirt, and a list of all of the films that have played at the event over the years. In later years, listmakers got more detailed and included the trailers and sneak peeks as well.
As for me, I'll be heading out ... basically very late Thursday night. There's an IHOP on 135th, and I'll drop by there on my way to Penn Station, and thence to the Long Island airport (Southwest is cheap, but it's a trade-off, because getting out to Islip is an ORDEAL).
Anyway, as per tradition, I'm planning to have the "Short Version" - titles only, with maybe a teaser comment, if I have the energy - up Sunday afternoon (as soon as I can get to an internet connection after BNAT lets out at noon). And the "Long Version" - titles, photos, links, reviews, general commentary, and a partridge in a pear tree) - will probably be up laaaaaaaaaate Sunday night. Basically, early Sunday morning is what we're talking about here.
I'm watching BNAT movies all week, culminating in the LOTR trilogy (I plan to be watching ROTK on the plane ride (bless my new Mac and its long battery life!).
