NOOOOOO!!!!!

THEY'RE REMAKING SUSPIRIA?!?!?!?!!!!

Is nothing sacred?! Why don't we just remake Citizen Kane and have done with it! Nothing good can come of this, man! This is probably the biggest "sacred cow" movie geek movie ever made, and you don't mess with it. I hate to be that person that tags all remakes as automatically inferior, but the odds are so stacked against them - even if it's a remake of something that was basically "cookie cutter" back in the day.

Suspiria is a horror classic, not just because it's scary, but because it is truly artistic - probably the most beautiful gory movie you'll ever see. I like what the presumed director has to say about the prospect of making it, but I can't imagine a universe in which this could possibly rival Argento's original.

And dude - who's going to try and top that absolutely demonic Goblin soundtrack? I'm convinced that band went to hell with a tape recorder and brought the Devil's music back with them to put in the film.

Did you know they also remade The Day the Earth Stood Still? I'm horribly horribly disappointed, especially since they cast Keanu Reeves as Klaatu. :(

They need to stop remaking movies. Leave the classics alone!

Blah! Why do they do these things? (I haven't seen it, I just feel your pain!)

I was really peeved when they re-made Dr. Zhivago, but it ended up being a completely different film. You can't really compare them.

This is different though. It's not a separate interpretation of a well-known story, it's de-valuing the uniqueness of the original. It's like re-making Rocky Horror or The Gods Must Be Crazy. You can't re-create a cult film.
