I loved him in The Cure, tugged at my heart so hard. He scared me in Apt Pupil which just proved to me what a good actor he was, what promise he had in his adult career if he could make the hard transition.

I guess he couldn't make the transition.

It just breaks my heart. I really liked him. He's gone, Jonathan Brandis is gone, J. Madison Wright is gone (though she had a heart condition and had given up acting by the time she reached adulthood, but still, it's sad). Too many from my generation, gone.
