Plastics

This is a fascinating article about Charles Webb, who wrote the novel The Graduate. He's recently written a sequel to it, and the article talks a bit about that, but the fascinating part is just the man himself and the life he's led. While Hollywood writers are striking for basically butt lint on DVD sales and web downloads, here is Webb - a novelist and playwright who has often had to do all manner of labor just to keep body and soul together and who doesn't give two hoots about the money or the fame.

Definitely interesting. The most curious part was why someone with a lovely name like Eve would change it to "Fred." LOL

I don't know what kind of money writers make in Hollywood (I'm sure it's quite variable), but when I watch shows quality like "Lost" and "Heroes," I think they deserve a LOT of moolah.
