(mystery)
My second is that, although it was true in the past that Emma had no other projects outside of HP (and I was often very quick to point this out in comparing her acting abilities to Dan's and Rupert's) that's simply no longer factually accurate, due to her having been signed to the Belles of St. Trinian remake, something I saw many people ignoring repeatedly when commenting on this. I'm glad to see her get other acting work, as I think it will be very educational for her; the lack of other work previously was probably in part a reflection of her abilities, but it also was probably holding BACK her ability to learn and grow as an actress; she needs to learn to do others' scripts and follow other director's directions. In general, she needs an actor's education, which she has not received; she's highly intelligent and could probably learn a lot about her craft if she were only given the time to do so.
My third problem is that the chief issue with Film!Hermione has always been the writing; an actor cannot portray a character other than as written, and if Emma has been given other characters' lines a great deal, and usually inappropriately, that is hardly her fault--it's not like the lines were written for the other characters in the script and she just stepped on their lines and delivered them herself, spontaneously, during the shooting, after which the director decided to keep it that way.
I think Emma is a very bright young woman who has been ill-served by the scripts and, usually, by the direction on the HP films. Now she is ill-served by this tabloid hack and there is no reason to give credence to anything about her playing the role of Hermione that doesn't come directly from the WB, IMO. No matter who plays Hermione in the last two films, whether it's Emma or another actress, she will be at the mercy of the scripts and direction, as always.
