But Seamus is in the movie, and he's quite pointedly not in the DA picture. Gah. I *hope* they're not putting that subplot on Ron.

I'm not a huge Kloves fan, but at least with him I felt like he wouldn't be worse than a certain point. He gets it mostly, even if I sometimes don't like the way he realizes things. But with this new screenwriter - who knows how bad he could be.

Good catch about Seamus and the DA picture, though. You're probably right.

I blame the producers and directors more for what is done to Ron's character than Kloves, as most who know me know. And, I mostly enjoy watching Grint handle the role so I don't get too bent out of shape anyway. PLUS, I am an annoying movie apologist who thinks a lot of people whine and wank too much about the films in general.

But.

If they have Ron performing that function I WILL WIN THE MOVIE WANK TITLE :P

Thankfully, I really don't think they will.

Well WB confirmed that the still of the Trio takes place in the Hog's Head.
And Rupert and Julie have talked about the Weasleys having a nice Christmas which I assume will be at Grimmauld Place. So I really doubt they're going to pin that subplot on Ron. Which doesn't mean there won't be something to complain about. That spider scene they tried but dropped because of Rupert's arachnophobia definitely makes me nervous about OotP. I loved Ron in GoF. So after that, the comments Kloves made in Creative Screenwriting, and reading the PoA and CoS scripts I'm glad he's coming back for HBP.
