... has always been a great word for expressing the sheer awesomeness of a thing.

But it doesn't quite do justice to Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. So we're going to have to come up with a new word.

I'll say no more than that, because I know all of you will be seeing it soon if you haven't seen it already. That and I'm plum TIRED. I did get a great audience to see it with, though, and that's half the fun. I had one fairly insignificant nitpick, but it was greatly overshadowed by the uber-awesomeness of the rest of the film.

I will say this, though - Ted and Terry know their Joseph Campbell. ;)

Oh, and my favorite new quotable? ... UNDEAD MONKEY!
Mood:: 'IZ PWNED!' IZ PWNED!

What was your nitpick then? I enjoyed it, but found it just a little *too* full of nods to and cribs from the first film. Perhaps it'll grow on me more second time around :-)

That was exactly my complaint. Not really a complaint, but something I felt they could have done better. I think one reference to rum, for example, would have been enough. It could almost be a drinking game. :P

Yeah, there was that... I kept thinking throughout that someone who hadn't seen the first film would miss half of the puns, but then I wondered what someone who'd never seen the first film would make of the ending.

icon because it is still a very, very good film. I have very much love.

I feel the same way. A bit too many nods to the first film. But otherwise it was terrific!

My crowd was a downer, too. My girls and I were the only ones laughing. Although, there was some lady down the row who clapped at the most random moments.

But what did you think of the Jack/Elizabeth?

I keep asking everyone this. ;)

I think it's rather the question of the hour. It's all very exciting. :D

Personally, I think there was a lot more chemistry between J/E than between W/E.

I'm gonna be a J/E shipper. ;-p

My crowd was excellent. Full of people dressed as pirates yarrring away.

Your probably right on the rum thing, but I don't care!

NORRINGTON!

Also, you are right about the Undead Monkey. I want one for my back.
