First, a meme, gacked from
ancarett:
What kind of car do you drive?
2003 Dodge PT Cruiser
What color is it?
Silver
Do you like it?
I love it!
Any decals/stickers?
A simple bumper sticker that reads "hope" - my response to the 2004 presidential election, and an MSU decal on the back window above the brake light.
Anything hangin' from the rear view mirror?
Nope.
Any fun stuff?
Other than me in the driver's seat, no. :P
Do you have seat covers?
No.
How many miles does your car have on it?
A little over 52,000.
What's your first radio preset station?
Well, NPR is in the #1 slot, but I have mine set in numerical order. The one I listen to the most isn't even one of my presets.
What CD is in your stereo?
The Darkness (One Way Ticket to Hell ... and Back)
Do you get mad if you get a scratch?
Yes, a tad.
Does your air conditioning work?
Yes, but I don't use it that much because it burns up gasoline.
Who was the last person to ride in your car with you?
A couple of my co-workers (Starbucks run!)
Does your car have a lot of problems?
Nope.
Do you own it/lease it/given it?
Own. I'm halfway done paying for it.
Does it get good gas mileage?
It does okay. Full gas tank (12-13 gallons) gets me about 300 miles.
How many bodies can fit in your trunk?
I don't have a trunk. One body might be able to fit in the back space - if it were bent/sawed in two. Dude, what a creepy question!
Is this the style of vehicle you thought you would be driving at your age?
I didn't really think about it. But it's a cooler car than I ever thought I'd be able to have.
Are you fully covered with Insurance?
Yep. Can't drive around here if you're not.
What do you wish you could change about your car?
Nothing, really. But I would kind of like to have a stereo system that played cassettes as well as CDs.
Have you ever slept in this vehicle?
For a few minutes, yeah.
What is the farthest you've ever driven with it?
I've driven to both, but Austin, TX just barely nudges out Houston, TX for distance.
How fast have you had your car going?
85-90 mph
What's your best memory in your car?
The first drive I made to Austin. There's something so freeing about just getting in your car and driving halfway across the country.
I'm looking forward to going to the movies today for the first time in a while. I haven't decided what to see yet - probably United 93, maybe Art School Confidential. Maybe even something silly like the new Lindsay Lohan movie. This may be the last lazy weekend for me for a while, so I'm hoping to get the most out of it.

(mystery)
That's a very good wish -- I now have my home stereo as the only place I can play a bunch of my favourite road trip recordings. *sigh* Which is rather self-defeating!
Good luck with your movie outing. My girls are intrigued by "Stick It" or whatever that newish gymnastics movie is. We might give that a try!
