As August rolls around, we start to see a transition as summer blockbusters (such as they've been this summer) slowly give way to more arthouse fare. But there are still at least a few purely fun offerings.

Excellent plays, all, and an excellent trip. Next year the festival is doing A Midsummer Night's Dream, Richard III, and Romeo & Juliet, as well as (OMG) The Music Man. The artistic directors are Brian Vaughn (Mr. Collins/Hannay) and David Ivers (Benedick), which gives me an irrational level of delight. I wish I could go, but I don't know that it will be possible in addition to Orlando next summer. *looks to the sky and wishes for a large bag of cash to fall on head*
