Drew McWeeny, formerly on Ain't It Cool News as Moriarty, has posted a
SMASHING review of HBP at his new web home, HitFix.com. It should be noted that Drew, while a fan of the series, has been rather critical of it, and the films in particular. I used to be kind of annoyed at how he complained about the school-year construct of each chapter in the saga. But his is an opinion I highly respect, as much as Ebert or anyone else. So imagine my glee to read a rave from him about
Half-Blood Prince, calling it the best film of the franchise, even better than most film buffs' favorite
Prisoner of Azkaban.
Warning: It's somewhat spoilery. Not so much about what's left out or whatever, but he fairly specifically describes the first few minutes, as well as a couple of other key scenes, so if you're avoiding spoilers you should be aware of that before you click.
( ENJOY! )Be still, my beating heart. NO DON'T - I NEED TO SEE THIS MOVIE FIRST!
