I lurve iTunes!

Realizing that it would not take money out of my pocket just to download the software, I copycatted [livejournal.com profile] wahlee_98 and downloaded iTunes onto my computer. It is a new world! I haven't bought anything yet, because I've been too busy looking, but I am loving the fact that I no longer have to spend $20 on a CD that only has one song I like. Now, if I could only spare $400 for an iPod. :p

Last night, "I Love the 80s" had a bit about Jem and I was quite excited. I was completely addicted to Jem when I was 10-12 years old. I had all the songs on tape (from holding a tape recorder up to the speaker on the TV), and I used to hold concerts in my room - I was Jem and the Misfits. Having responded perhaps a bit too candidly to [livejournal.com profile] acemyth's post on memes and nostalgia, my frame of mind was such that being reminded of such a strong force in my childhood was almost too much for me. I was a bit disturbed, though, at how much Michael Ian Black apparently knew about such a froofy girlie cartoon.
