Another "half-day" at work that's slowly turning into a full day. At least this weekend I don't have to move, which is the activity that has sucked up my last 5 consecutive weekends (key word - sucked). I'm hoping to see POTC again tonight, and tomorrow night I'll be at Shakespeare in the Park ("Romeo and Juliet," which will likely remind me - against my will - of Draco/Ginny and Harry/Hermione . . . *shudder*).

Okay, while I was typing this, The Great and Powerful Falcon posted on the CSHH thread. I can't understand why H/Hers feel the need to come onto our thread and intrude on our solemnity. It's supposed to be a safe haven from the DT, not the DT-Lite. And I am really sick of the notion that I and my fellow shippers are not intelligent enough or don't read the books close enough to see the wonder of H/Hr. Excuse me if I'd rather see the obvious than twist the characters to fit my self-denial.

Grrr!

Okay, I'd better get back to work so that I can go home, chill out for a bit, and go to my home away from home to drool over the ROXingness that is Johnny Depp. Oh, and that other cute guy from LOTR. ;)

mmm-mmm-good . . .

It's a shame, really. I have friends who are H/Hr and we're all perfectly sweet about it. I don't really care if someone ships H/Hr (though I will defend R/Hr and blow off steam in the CSHHr thread). I do care when I'm accused of dimwitted-ness, supporting slavery, and wanting conformity simply because I ship R/Hr. I'm aware H/Hr-ers are accused of this (well, dimwitted-ness - I don't know about the others...), it's just ridiculous.
If you had posted something rude to H/Hr-ers, there would have been justification for H/Hr posting. But you weren't - you were entirely entitled to post what you did (especially in the CSHHr thread), and IMO countering it was defending H/Hr.

Oh Johnny Depp. *swoon* He can do me anytime, anywhere. :D

Anyway...I read Falcon's post, too, and I hate the way he/she insinuates that R/Hr'ers are immature while H/Hr are mature.

But if being mature means being boring to death, I'd rather be branded as immature, LOL.

Exactly. I'd rather be childish than dull as . . . toast.

Ignore Birdbrain. He has more than proven that he can't be taken seriously.
