So we've now reached the point where Emma has her epiphany, and it was very well done. The conversation with Harriet was quite well written, with every moment having purpose and shifting things gradually into place. And is it just me or does Emma's "I mean, anyone other than..." sound like she's actually thought about this before?
Loved the Frank/Jane playlist, and I think it was the right choice to release those all at once, after the news of their attachment came out. It *is* emblematic of the strangeness of the format in this series, though, where it's not really clear who the video feed is for. (I know she originally said she was "documenting her greatness," but at this point that kind of jibes with her character growth.)
Like everyone else, I was delighted to see B.Mart in the preview for Monday. However, I worry what this means for the narrative. I can only assume that his reconciliation with Harriet will happen in a different episode (maybe 71?), and I *sincerely* hope that Emma has not called him in to try and throw him in Harriet's path and get her out of the way. Please, let's not do that. I also don't want her so immediately reassured about Alex/Harriet, since that cuts out my favorite part of the novel -- where Emma tells Knightley that she's willing, as a true friend, to hear what he has to tell her, even though she thinks he's going to break her heart (which is the final test of friendship she passes before she gets her happy ending).
