I'm psyched at the prospect of the Red Hot Chili Peppers being part of the Super Bowl halftime show (though it's not a sure thing yet). But did the LA Times have to make that comment about appealing to "older viewers"? I know we're living in a Logan's Run "no one over the age of 30 counts" culture, but seriously? You mean "older viewers" like people who are actually watching the game (and, more importantly, the commercials) instead of just tuning in for the Beyonce performance? "Older viewers" like people who can buy the cars and the beer and the insurance that pays for like 80% of the ad buys?
In other news, I'll probably be watching the Golden Globes tonight (though last year I wasn't invested enough in it to upset my sleep cycle and wake up for it). Have just started watching Orphan Black, so I'm rooting for Tatiana Maslany, and I feel like she has a good shot, since the Globes have historically rewarded underdog new shows. If I do any commentary, it will probably be on Twitter.
