You're gonna be bothered by how cool I am.

First of all, I want to thank everyone for putting spoilery stuff behind cut tags and filters. I am still trying to expose myself to as little as possible. I've been unfollowing pages like crazy on FB and Tumblr, because I've seen a couple of things I didn't want to. However, I did watch the trailer (a few times), because - maybe you've noticed this about me - I go to the movies A LOT, and the odds are decidedly not in my favor that it won't show up in front of the myriad things I'll see in the next few months. And while it might be entertaining for other people in a theater to watch me stick my fingers in my ears and go "lalalalalala", I cannot deny that it is also quite ridiculous.

So I thought I might as well do this, for posterity, if nothing else. My last shot-for-shot trailer post. This is every single shot, as far as I know. Yes, I watched it half-speed so I could catch everything. And I know I'm a broken record after all these years, but I'm going to say ONE MORE TIME that it's best to take all these images at face value and not try and divine whatever it might mean to the narrative or anyone's character arc as a whole. Also that it's pretty much guaranteed (I'm not referring to anything specifically, just that it happens with every trailer we've had since the beginning, and you'd think we'd have learned by now) that *something* you see here is not going to be in the final film.

Pardon my seemingly random comments. Some of these shots will always remind me of the Literal DH Trailer (and one gave me a Wizard People giggle). :)

* LOVE the slowed down, sort of off-beat Hedwig music box theme - never heard it quite like that before; music box style, yes, but not like that

* Snape approaching Potter house - can't see the right side of house, where the big damage is, so I'm not sure if this is the same scene as the later shot

* Dumbledore picking up the diary (this is from HBP, though they may show it in flashback, like the falling from the tower in HBP/DH1)

Oh my goodness, I'm going to die this July, aren't I?

In a way, I wish they'd done a more comprehensive "this has been a decade of all of our lives" trailer, instead of showing so much footage from just this last film. But I love this trailer for showing us what kind of film this particular one will be. It's probably best to let history do the collating on this thing as a whole.

Though I do have some vid ideas. :)

So that's done, and I'm glad I saw it. Please keep on not spoiling me for anything else. I will likely be on radio silence the last few weeks when we'll probably have 1/3 of the movie online in clips and pictures.
