* Elijah Wood is apparently going to appear in The Hobbit. Before anyone gets up in arms about Frodo not actually being in the book, what I'm hearing is that he'll appear in the beginning of the first movie, either reading or hearing Bilbo's story from the Red Book of Westmarch (the red book that appears in the LOTR movies and in which Frodo writes his own story before handing it off to Sam).
* I know not everyone is into Knocked Up, but I'm pleased to hear the news of Judd Apatow's new movie, set in the Knocked Up universe but focusing instead on the characters who were actually my favorite part of that movie, Pete and Debbie (played by Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann). I wonder if Apatow's and Mann's adorable daughters will be in it too.
* Here is a little info from Gary Ross about the forthcoming Hunger Games movie, where he assures everyone it will be a PG-13, promises that the budget is big enough to make the movie well and "not disappoint a single fan" (LOL N00B!), confirms that the Muttations will be animated CGI characters (as opposed to ... actually creating them? puppetry? actors in suits and makeup?), and says he's looking forward to shooting the firestorm sequence and developing the relationship between Katniss and Rue.
