First there was Gloria Stuart, then Sally Menke, then Arthur Penn, and now...

Tony Curtis, 85, has died. Probably best known for his cross-dressing turn opposite cross-dressing Jack Lemmon in Billy Wilder's Some Like It Hot, which is maybe the most brilliant comedy of ALL TIME, he also gave legendary performances in Sweet Smell of Success, Spartacus, Houdini, and The Defiant Ones, among others. And personally, I think his role in The Manitou is also the stuff of legend ... in hilarity.
He has 114 film roles to his credit. He was married several times, but his first and most famous wife was Janet Leigh. The two of them had an amazing daughter who was named after both her parents - Jamie Leigh Curtis.
I'll probably always remember him as Joe/Josephine in Some Like It Hot. He looked so much better in drag than Lemmon, and his extended makeout with Marilyn Monroe is still one of the hottest things I've ever seen. He could have donated to my milk fund any time.
