(South Park's version of Muhammad, as seen in episode 503, "Super Best Friends")
If you're confused, Google "South Park" and "Muhammad". This has got to be the strangest and saddest South Park controversy yet. I see that, not only has the show's website pulled last night's episode and the one from last week, but they have also pulled the nine-year-old episode "Super Best Friends."
*checks for "Cartoon Wars," the other episode to feature Muhammad*
*browser crashes, because apparently I'm not the only one checking*
I thought the excessive beeps were pretty hilarious last night, though according to Parker's and Stone's statement, NOT ONE of them was intentional on their part. Kyle's speech at the end was about intimidation and fear, but apparently the network decided that was too dangerous. Irony chaffing - lotion please! As for the rest, I thought the episode did a great job of bringing in old storylines, like a lot of other shows have done less successfully with their own milestone episodes. It was great to see Mecha-Streisand again. And oh man, Scott Tenorman. EPIC!
