Have any of you read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins? Perhaps impatiently awaiting the next installment, Catching Fire? Want someone to gab about it with? :D

I made the mistake of reading ... that very sad thing while on the subway. Between the ... very sad thing and the song and the bread, I was sitting there crying in front of everyone. I love how the Games are set up like a sick reality show, and that the kids have stylists and everything to maintain the illusion that this is entertainment and wash over the fact that it's a game in which children kill each other off until only one is left standing.

And my jaw frakking DROPPED when Katniss realized what the dogs really were at the end of the game. That may be the most disturbing thing I've ever read.

I Love. This. Book. And I'm quite glad I only have to wait a few weeks to see what happens next.

And I totally foresee shipping wars. It's interesting not being so sure about where that thread is heading. *waves Katniss/Gale flag VERY tentatively*
