connielane at 09:26pm on 22/04/2009* In the department of good news, I've finally gotten to a more comfortable place (speaking relatively, so don't get too excited) regarding income versus outgo. I'm still not working as much as I'd like, but I'm no longer desperately in need of hours that I'm just not getting.
* My parents will be here next week for their first trip to NY. (My dad has been here before, actually, but only for a day and literally all of our time that trip was spent in Times Square and to and from Penn Station). All parties are very excited, and we are seeing no less than FOUR shows - South Pacific, Phantom of the Opera (I know, but Nancy insists :P), the new West Side Story, and Billy Elliot. I'm rather excited for them to see where I've been living and (sort of) making it the last nine months. :D
* It is finally starting to get warm enough that I don't need a coat outside. Sadly, it has also been raining like crazy. I hope the weather is nice next week for my parents' trip. There are few things more annoying than traveling down a NY sidewalk with an umbrella.
