Spoilery thoughts on 'Away From Her'
In lieu of a proper review...
Me: So help me, movie, if you end before Julie Christie gives one last moment of recognition of her husband after what he's doing for her, I will NEVER FORGIVE YOU.
Movie: Well, alright then. *obliges big-time*
Me: *dissolves into happy/sad tears*
What a lovely, sad, breathtaking movie. And what a knockout performance by Julie Christie. (Though my imaginary Oscar vote for Best Actress would go to Marion Cotillard instead.)
