Instead of the common definition of "non-romantic, non-sexual," now she insists that we all see the classical definition (since JKR studied the classics at Exeter, after all) of Platonic ("transcending physical desire and tending toward the purely spiritual or ideal", as defined by American Heritage dictionary). Yes, because every 8-12 year old in the audience she was answering to has definitely studied classics at Exter, and has read the American Heritage dictionary. That would clearly be the right way to use to get the right message across to whom she was speaking. Yep.
