Whoops! Just saw that you asked about Valkyrie, too. I thought crowd reaction to it was good, though people didn't fall in love with it like they did Button (which is a completely different kind of movie to begin with). There was certainly not any giggling or whatever at Tom Cruise, which I wasn't really expecting, but wouldn't have been surprised at.
