Re: *g*

Someone on pk.org said there was a snippet from JKR in a newspaper that said this: Well, I won't go into detail, but you will see the the three of them(Harry, Hermione and Ron), come face to face with what most teenagers do, especially when of the three best friends, 2 are growing young men and the other is a maturing young woman. There will be a subtle shift on Harry's part as he opens his eyes after what happened in the last book in the Department of Mysteries. He might begin to see what was there for awhile now. But then again, I might just kill them all off, so it might not even matter.

I think it's pretty clear why H/Hers might think this is a good portent for their ship, but they can't ignore forever the fact that by no stretch of the imagination can romantic feelings for Hermione on Harry's part be considered something that has been "there for a while now." If it is a real quote, I think it speaks better for R/Hr (which I think does fit the qualification of "there for a while now" and that the "subtle shift" which allows him to "open his eyes" is his new state of mind after Sirius' death.

Anyway, that's just my take on it. The best part of the snippet, though, was the tease that book 6 may be out by the end of 2004.
