When the HBP spoilers hit the web, I completely lost my shit.

:D Good memories, dude, good memories!

This is lovely (as all your writing is, so duh!). I always thought the idea that Ginny would just "get over" her thing for Harry was pretty amusing. AS IF!

I can't really imagine what it'd be like to passionately hope for a pairing you aren't completely sure will happen, because I'm way too cold-blooded cautious to ever put myself in that position, but it must be really wonderful when it does happen, and so satisfactorily. :)

Girl loves boy from afar, girl eventually "gives up" and starts dating other boys, boy finally takes notice, and boy gets girl because she's wanted him all along. This kind of story sometimes takes heat from feminists, who decry it as a "bad message" for girls.

I honestly do not comprehend this way of thinking. Feminism allows you to love unrequitedly, for God's sake! Men and women do it. Some people just CAN'T HELP IT. Seriously, some people have the weirdest ideas of what "feminism" is. It's pretty simple really: MEN AND WOMEN ARE EQUAL AND SHOULD BE TREATED EQUALLY WELL. You're allowed to pine for a guy (or a girl) and still be a feminist. Really.
