I loved it that Ginny was in the not-an-owl scene. Harry's reaction aside, it gave Hermione someone else to stalk away with, emphasizing her frustration with both Harry and Ron, and the fact that she's female kind of highlights the girl/boy split leading up to the Ball. A lot of nuances compressed in a single placement, which is good screenwriting. Plus, given we're pretty sure Kloves anticipated both ships, it's lovely foreshadowing.

I agree about the Ron-dragons thing; it was a good way of incorporating the fight into the main plot. I just wish we could have taken out one single line...
