In semi-related news, if you are itching to see Deathly Hallows one more time and live near an Alamo Drafthouse, OMG GO SEE IT THERE. Instead of silly ads playing as you sit down, they have cool fandom stuff playing on the screen. I went last week with angua9 to the one in Houston and they played the Literal DH trailer ("FLEX!") and a Potter Puppet Pals video I'd never seen, plus who knows what while we were parking and buying tickets. They also serve a wicked butterbeer (with or without alcohol).

Final Girl Film Club (late, again) - Sugar Hill

Time for another round of Final Girl Film Club! This month's selection is the blaxploitation zombie flick Sugar Hill. Indicentally, the neighborhood in Harlem where I live is called Sugar Hill, so I felt a connection to this movie right off the bat. Also, this is a Samuel Z. Arkoff and AIP production (that's American International Pictures, not Amazingly Idiotic Productions), and if that name means anything to you, a) you probably watch too much MST3K, and b) this movie probably just jumped up several points on your AwesomeMeter.
