You're gonna be bothered by how cool I am.

Steve McNair, who used to play quarterback for my former hometown football team, the Tennessee Titans (and also played for them when they were the Houston Oilers), as well as the Baltimore Ravens, was shot to death in his Nashville condominium yesterday. He had moved back to Nashville after retiring from the Ravens and the NFL, and he had just opened a new restaurant in Nashville - Gridiron9 - two weeks ago.

I'm stunned.

I've been wary about reviews so far, many of them seeming to be written by people who either haven't seen the film or aren't at liberty to speak of the slightest detail. But this review from Variety seems much more like a trustworthy opinion - though I'm still holding out for even more reputable sources, such as the NY Times, Rolling Stone, Time, and Ebert.
