The IMDB "news" page is always good for a laugh. If they're not taking tiny incidents and turning them into earth-shattering discoveries, they're publishing flat-out untruths. Here's one of today's "news" items:
*sigh* Thanks, IMDB news writers, for smoking crack before you sit down to type. I needed a giggle this morning.
In movie news, Brokeback Mountain is coming out a week before I expected - meaning this Friday. Finally!
In book news, I finally managed to finish Casino Royale. Fairly enjoyable, but sexist liek woah (which I guess is understandable for Bond in the 1950s. And maybe it's just because it's the first Bond novel, but Bond is kind of a puss in this one. I wonder how different the upcoming movie version will be. And I totally cannot see Jessica Simpson as Vesper Lynd. No. No. No. Please let that be just a groundless rumor.
And in holiday news, thanks to
divinemum,
piperx (OMG, the Little One is so CUTE!),
alphabet26,
mrs_bombadil, and
jiminyc for the lovely cards. And extra thanks to
jiminyc for the awesomest desk calendar ever that's going on my desk IMMEDIATELY. :D

She writes on her website, "2006 will be the year when I write the final book in the Harry Potter series. I contemplate the task with mingled feelings of excitement and dread because I can't wait to get started, to tell the final part of the story and, at last, to answer all the questions..."
