Whoop-dee-doo. He's appearing at the most financially challenged school in Nashville to let everyone know what a great "Education" President he is.

Huh?????

Anywho, we had the world's shortest staff meeting at work today, despite the fact that we had "forced fellowship" in the form of staff break, which consisted of chips, salsa, Chex mix, cake, fruit tea and Big Red (which seemed to turn our Minister of Music and Minister to Senior Adults into two grown children).

Daily Dose of Debate Discontent:
We're back to the "Ron must decrease, and Hermione must increase" argument. You know, the one where JKR is deliberately diminishing Ron's importance in the story so that Hermione can be Harry's equal, and so that the H/Hr peeps can say they don't hate Ron and that they're disappointed he got no character development in Order of the Phoenix? That's next-door to the "I don't hate Ron, but . . . " argument some are so fond of, when it comes to things H/Hers say that make me irate. I'm sorry, but if someone reads OotP and doesn't see character development in Ron, they must be willing themselves NOT to see it.

On a much happier note . . . GO TITANS! They beat the Oakland Raiders 25-20 last night! Woo-hoo!

As an expression of my deep and abiding love for a certain actor who shall remain nameless, but who is "the best pirate I've ever seen," I made myself a new icon, hearkening back to his heart-stopping performance as "the guy with the greatest, most grotesque horror movie death EVER." ("I'm your boyfriend now, Nancy. MUAHAHAHAH!")
Music:: Avril Lavigne's "Things I'll Never Say"
Mood:: 'complacent' complacent
