Yoinked from [livejournal.com profile] alphabet26. Comment and I'll give you a letter. Then, post five songs that start with the letter.

She gave me "T" (which is short for R, of course, but I went with T anyway :P).

"Taylor, the Latte Boy" by Kristin Chenoweth - I love Kristin Chenoweth, and this song is at least a couple of reasons why (namely, her great voice and her sense of humor). Also, whenever I hear it, I remember singing it in the car with [livejournal.com profile] wahlee_98 and [livejournal.com profile] susy_gwen during one of the greatest vacation trips ever - Shakefest/Lumos 2006.

"Tangled Up in Blue" by Bob Dylan - I'm not really an artist-oriented music lover, but Bob Dylan is probably my favorite music artist. Pretty much everything he writes is a work of art, and when he performs live you can see that a lot of his songs are living, breathing things that change every time he sings them.

"Too Close for Comfort" by Jem and the Holograms - The Jem television show was a HUGE part of my childhood. I had (and still have) every episode on tape. I had the original four Jem and the Holograms dolls. I had all the music on cassette, and I did a lip sync tour from my bedroom almost every day for a few years. The show was one of several that was based on a line of toys, but this was a cut above, in my opinion. There were at least two (usually three) original songs for each episode (take THAT, Glee!) and while yes, they were pretty cheesy and sometimes situation-specific, they were darn catchy.

"Tu Mira" by Lola Y Manuel - Yep, you knew I had to have something from Kill Bill on here. This is playing while Beatrix is driving to see Esteban Vihaio and, like the rest of the music from Kill Bill, I strongly associate it with Austin and BNAT because it always used to be my car music when I drove around Austin each December.

"To Love You More" by Celine Dion - STOP JUDGING ME THIS INSTANT. I have to be in a certain mood for Celine, but I'm pretty much always in the mood to hear this song. That's probably due in no small part to the fact that it was co-written by David Foster and has his signature 1980s drama all over it. The violin is such a great touch, and this is one of the great car songs. Roll down the windows, crank this baby up and wail those last couple minutes of "Ohhhhhhhhh"s.

Comment and I'll lay a letter on ye.
